What is WIFI?

WIFI stands for Wireless Fidelity; it has quickly become the standard in the wireless industry. What makes this a hot product for the truck stop industry is the lack of regulatory restrictions and standardization for the driver. WIFI is a relatively unregulated spectrum of radio frequency that has been used in the market place for many years. Only recently has the technology become a cost effective technology in providing wireless solutions for networking people and devices. This technology is based on the same technology found in today's cordless phone we find in our homes today. It is now considered mainstream technology for business application use.

What's in it for the truck stop operator?

Truckstop.net has provided a compensation plan for the truck stop that exceeds the recommendations of the truck stop industry trade groups. Truckstop.net has developed a compensation plan that pays the truck stop for multiple levels of activities. Income is earned for both signing up new members to the network and usage at their location.

This comes as a one-time payment at the time of sale and as a "residual" for the ongoing membership, as part of the members (drivers) monthly fee. This means a truck stop can get unlimited income from a single or multiple sale of a Truckstop.net membership(s).

In addition, Truckstop.net pays the truck stop based on usage of the access point at their location, If a driver is parked across the street at a competitor or bought his membership from another location and is accessing your hotspot, you receive a prorated share of the "pooled" revenue collected.

Ask your Truckstop.net representative for more detail.
