Truckstop.net uses a robust network powered by Sprint, with full T1 connections at every location. Using either a laptop or handheld device that is WIFI 802.11b and/or 802.11g (wireless card or chip) enabled, a driver can access the Internet or their corporate intranet at speeds up to 50 times faster than dial-up or DSL. TOPWhat do I need? You need a laptop or handheld with WIFI 802.11b and/or 802.11g wireless capability. Your current device may already have built-in capability. If not, you can purchase a WIFI 802.11b and/or 802.11g wireless networking card or antenna for most laptops from the Travel Store at most Truckstop.net locations, electronics retailers, or direct from Truckstop.net. When your device is wireless-enabled, you will need to set your SSID (or network identifier) to "truckstop.net". Your wireless network card documentation will have specific instructions on how to make this change. You will need an Internet-ready browser from any operating system.
